Modification and cancellation terms are valid for those reservations only, which are made via
hotel’s own web page or sales. All the times that are mentioned here are local time (+2 GMT
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
The room or apartment is available for you starting 4 pm in high summer season and 3 pm in low season on arrival day. We’ll keep your room / apartment reserved for you until 6pm local time on the day of arrival. If your arrival is after that, please inform us about it in advance. Check-out time is latest at 12:00 if anything else hasn’t been settled. There’s a possibility for later check-out with extra charge of 30 € /hour.
MODIFICATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS
You are entitled for free cancellation and modification of reservation until 6 pm on the day before arrival day. After this hotel has the right to charge the first night part of the reservation, as well as in those situations when booking is a no-show.
HOTEL ROOMS AND APARTMENTS AND CUSTOMER’S PROPERTY
All the hotel rooms and apartments in Rantakalla are non-smoking. For smoking in the room or in the apartment there’s an extra charge of 100 € due to cleaning. The guest has responsibility of own luggage and hotel has no responsibility about the guest’s damaged or lost property kept either in hotel room or in vehicle located on hotel’s the parking place. Please always make sure you are aware about the location for the closest emergency exits and emergency buttons as well as fire extinguishers.
In the event of a circumstance of “Force Majeure” or an unforeseen obstacle, Hotel Rantakalla has the right to cancel the reservation. In this case the customer is entitled to refund for the payments already made. If guest hasn’t paid the necessary fees regarding the reservation,
Hotel Rantakalla has the right to cancel the reservation. For compelling reasons, the hotel has right to move the guest to another accommodation that is at least the level of quality as the hotel is. The hotel will pay for any immediate costs of this transfer.
SICKNESS OR ACCIDENTS
In case of severe sickness or accidents the guest is obligated to inform the hotel immediately of
cancellations and has to offer a valid medical certificate. In these cases we only charge the
handling fee, 35 € / room or apartment. Cancellation needs to be done before the beginning of
the accommodation period. In order to get the refund, customer needs to deliver the medical
certificate or other reliable report to Hotel Rantakalla within 14 days of the cancellation. Reports
delivered later than that do not justify refunds. Cancellations or suspensions during the
accommodation do not justify refunds. It is recommendable to check your own travel insurance
for cancelled holidays.

The conditions of group reservations are however a little bit stricter regarding modifications and cancellations. You can modify or cancel a group reservation free of charge up to 5 days before arrival. Please note that the terms of Booking.com reservations may differ significantly from these terms.
